What is Monicè Monicella olive oil?+

Monicè is an organic extra virgin olive oil made from a single olive variety, Monicella. The cultivar originates in Val Roveto, Abruzzo; the olives for our Monicè are grown in Sannio.

Is Monicè suitable if I prefer a mild oil?+

Our Monicè has light green-olive fruitiness, notes of almond, apple and flowers, and mild bitterness and pungency. It is a starting point for those who prefer a gentle flavour: mild does not mean lacking aroma.

What food pairings can I try with Monicella oil?+

Start with minestrone, green salads and fresh cheeses. Add it unheated, a little at a time, to find the right balance and recognise its aromatic notes without other strong seasonings.
