A single-variety olive oil comes from one olive cultivar. Our selection brings together Ortice, Giolivo from Leccino and Monicè from Monicella: three organic extra virgin oils from Sannio to explore at home.
Start with Ortice for a more intense profile, or Giolivo and Monicè for gentler flavours. The variety contributes to character alongside the season, ripeness, processing and storage. A cultivar name is a useful starting point, not a guarantee that every harvest tastes identical. Read the line’s tasting notes and the information on the pack you buy.
Single variety or blend for home cooking?
A single-variety oil explores one cultivar; a blend combines several to create an overall profile. Neither is automatically better. Moleo, our blend of Monicella, Leccino, Ortice and Frantoio, is in the full catalogue. Compare two oils first on bread and then on a familiar dish to find the one you enjoy most.
From Sannio to your home kitchen
Our olives are grown in Morcone, in the Sannio area of Campania. Bioagricert controls the organic production method: check the EU logo, control code and origin on the label. Product pages show offered sizes and current ordering conditions.
Before choosing
Does single variety mean organic?
No. Single variety describes the olive cultivar; organic describes a certified production method. All three oils presented here are both single-variety and organic.
How can I compare two varieties at home?
Choose two oils in sizes that match your consumption. Taste them on the same bread and then on a familiar dish, using similar amounts. Note the aromas, bitterness, pungency and pairing you prefer.
